Female Symbols in Mythology and Archaeology: Multiple Representations and Cultural Implications in Film
Abstract
Abstract: This study explores the representation and cultural significance of female symbols in mythology and archaeology in film. The study focuses on how film reshapes female symbols in historical culture through narrative and visual language, and analyzes the transformation and dissemination of these symbols in the context of modern society. Through semiotic analysis, cultural criticism, and film text analysis, the study reveals how film gives new social and gender meanings to traditional female symbols, and examines the evolution of these symbols in different eras. The results show that film not only continues the cultural connotation of female symbols in mythology and archaeology, but also promotes the modern reconstruction of these symbols through modern narrative means and visual expression, expanding its cultural influence. In this process, female symbols reflect the transformation of gender concepts and show the dynamic changes in society’s cognition of female roles. The study shows that as a medium for symbol dissemination, the reinterpretation of female symbols in film helps to redefine gender roles in society and promote cultural discussions on gender issues.
