Architecture under the Spotlight of Florence - The Art and Religious Development of the Renaissance
Abstract
During the Renaissance, the close combination of religion and architectural art in Florence formed a distinctive cultural style, which had a profound impact on the past and present. The research aims to further analyze the Renaissance period, using historical research methods and literature review to conduct a comprehensive and multi-dimensional study of the architectural art and religious development of Florence during the Renaissance period. The study explores the relationship between Florence's unique architectural art and religion, as well as how they interact with the surrounding social and cultural environment in different temporal and spatial contexts. In addition, representative buildings are selected to reveal the fusion of religion and architectural art in Florence in a more specific way. Research has found that the development of Florentine architectural art during the Renaissance had a continuous and profound interaction with the religious development at that time. The architectural characteristics of Florence reflect the characteristics of social culture and religious beliefs at that time, and further shape and promote the development of social culture. On the other hand, the religious development in Florence also influenced and changed the development and evolution of architectural art to a certain extent. This interaction and influence between religion and art are not only particularly evident in Florence during the Renaissance, but also gain new recognition and understanding from a modern perspective.
