Ecological civilization education has become an important component of school moral education. Providing ecological civilization education to college students is an inevitable choice for ecological civilization construction. On the basis of summarizing the current situation and influencing factors of ecological civilization education in universities, this article presents enlightenment of Marx's ecological philosophy thought on ecological civilization education. The results indicate that the importance of ecological civilization in different disciplines is positively correlated with the systematization of ecological civilization education. We should explore the implementation of ecological civilization education from the aspects of content system, educational mode, campus ecological culture construction, and teacher ecological literacy, strive to improve the ecological cognition, ecological civilization literacy, and ecological behavior ability of college students, build an educational ecology, promote resource conservation, and build a beautiful and environmentally friendly China.
