A comparative study of court music education between Ming Dynasty and Korea Dynasty

Abstract

China and the Korean Peninsula are closely linked by mountains and rivers, and the two countries have long had frequent exchanges in politics, economy and culture. At the same time, the Ming Dynasty and the Joseon Dynasty also established a long and friendly diplomatic relationship. This paper attempts to use the method of literature research, through literature review and analysis, to expound on the practice of music education in the relevant court music institutions of the Ming Dynasty and the Korean dynasty from multiple angles, including talent selection and training, teaching content, goals and methods, teaching requirements and rules and regulations, etc. Thus, the characteristics of court music education in the Ming Dynasty and the Korean dynasty are preliminarily compared and investigated, and their similarities and differences and correlations are expounded, so as to deepen the understanding of cultural communication and interaction between China, South Korea and even East Asia from the perspective of music history and music education.
