Abstract

This article explores the fusion and conflicts between the Japanese language and Chinese character culture in the historical and cultural context. Firstly, it introduces the historical background of the Japanese language and Chinese character culture, and analyzes the cultural transformation in Japan after the Meiji Restoration, from three aspects: the use and evolution of Chinese characters in the Japanese language, the pronunciation and semantic differences of Chinese characters in Japanese, and the influence of Chinese character culture on Japanese language, writing and literature.
