Abstract

English education is an important foreign language and literature education, which is of great value for promoting cultural exchanges and enhancing international understanding and cooperation. Under the background of world diversification, English education mode is being upgraded gradually. Therefore, we study the strategy to reconstruct English education aiming at strengthening China's discoursal power in international arenas, particularly in terms of cultural influence. That is to say, it clarifies the relationship between English education and China's discoursal power, analyzes the existing problems, and elaborates on a six-aspect strategy for reconstructing English education with a focus on enhancing cultural power. These six aspects include, educational objectives, curriculum and teaching content, teacher training, teaching methods, evaluation system, and international exchanges and cooperation. Reconstructing English education is crucial for making a substantial contribution to adapting to international market demands and enhancing the overall quality of English education.
