EDITORIAL FORWARD - 10 Nov 2011

MEDITERRANEAN ARCHAEOLOGY & ARCHAEOMETRY:
10 Years + for the only interdisciplinary Journal in Arts, Humanities & Natural Sciences focused on Mediterranean

I am happy to announce the steady upcoming of our Mediterranean Journal with a wide diversified content of excellent papers that has attracted World attention The rapid publication and fast peer review has increased the number of submissions concerning a wide spectrum of innovative research and special applications. Our Editorial Members and Editors have done their best to maintain the high quality of our journal for the part that belongs to their task.
As a result MAA have had its first Impact Factor (0.16) for 2010.
From now on we make another step forward with some new Editorial Members and invite new potential authors to take advantage of MAA with the enhancing value on the archaeological interdisciplinary field.
Our coming issue (December 2011, Vol.1, No. 2) is available as Early View while from 2012 papers are no longer free of access but available on subscription, though the Rapid Publication and Early View schemes shall continue.

Mediterranean Archaeology & Archaeometry (MAA) is an interdisciplinary International Journal issued by The University of the Aegean, Department of Mediterranean Studies, Rhodes, Greece. MAA is published since 2001 and from 2008 is operating in updated format.

The international journal MAA "Encourage international discussion on the coupling between archaeology and archaeometry in their broader sense, initiating forums of discussion on the establishment of widely accepted criteria of correct approach and solution of particularly current and future archaeological problems."

It focuses in the Mediterranean region and on matters referred to interactions of Mediterranean with neighbouring areas, but presents an international forum of research, innovations, discoveries, applications and meetings, concerning the modern approaches to the study of human past.

The Editors will welcome contributions from all parts of the World.
